The winner of MTV’s America’s Best Dance Crew and the Filipino American dance group, the Jabbawockees and Filipino American or Filipino Pinay’s first runner- up for the Search for the Next Pussycat Doll will be performing at the Dance Showcase event In Jersey City, New Jersey. Jabbawockees and Melissa Reyes will be showing their Filipino pride through dancing on Saturday, July 12, 2008. Regine Velasquez, the star of upcoming Kapuso GMA 7’s teleserye, “Ako si Kim Sam-Soon” and the reigning Asia’s Songbird will be competing with her voice talent with Lani Misalucha, the Asia’s Nightingale and the star of Society of 7 with Lani Misalucha. Both Regine Velasquez and Lani Misalucha will fighting using their voice and belting out talents at the Duel of the Divas. Martin Nievera, the concert king and former husband of concert Queen, Pops Fernandez will be joining the royal rumble as their special guest. The world famous event will take place at two locations; one at Los Angeles in the Pasadena Civic Auditorium and the other one is at San Francisco in Nob Hill Masonic Center. The concert, The Dual of the Divas starring Regine Velasquez, Lani Misalucha, and Martin Nievera will take place at 8:30pm and both Los Angeles and San Francisco event will be on Saturday. The longest noon time variety show in the Philippines, Eat Bulaga and rival of Wowwawee will be having a concert here in the United States. The name of the tour is Kagat Labi. Eat Bulaga is hosted by Tito, Vic, and Joey. The other hosts of the Eat Bulaga show includes: Wally, Jimmy Santos, Jose, Julia Clarete, Anjo Yllana, Pauleen Luna, Pia Guianno, Allan K, and Francisc Magalona. Other guests includes: GMA 7’s Dyesebel Love teams Dingdong Dantes and Marian Rivera. Sakal, Sakali, Saklolo stars and newly engaged Filipino artisas ‘ Judy Ann Santos and Ryan Agoncillo. FlyAway
A fast, affordable ride ($3) between Downtown and Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) or between Van Nuys Airport (VNY) and LAX. Tickets can be purchased from the FlyAway kiosk in the Patsaouras terminal or the Van Nuys FlyAway. Remote baggage check-in and boarding passes are available.
The Union Station bus departs every 30 minutes from 5 a.m. to 1 a.m., and each hour from 1 a.m. to 5 a.m. FlyAway buses run 24 hours a day.
